More Space for More Colleagues at Intact in Lebring, Austria
Since 15 April, Intact has had a further nine employees and continues to grow successfully. The Styrian experts for ERP solutions on the TIC market (Testing, Inspection, Certification) are reacting to the strong growth in the number of employees in recent years with a considerable increase in office space at the company's headquarters in Lebring, Austria.
Investments in People and Offices
Following the investment of group IMCap in last year's fall, Intact's future planning proceeded at a rapid pace and growth plans were driven forward and implemented with the new capital brought into the company. In the first phase, the focus was on expanding the office space in Lebring and finding additional employees for the company's headquarters in southern Styria.
The additional expansion included not only new meeting rooms and offices but also so-called "high-performance rooms." Those rooms are nothing more than individual quiet workstations, rooms where special rules apply that allow focused work and may shield colleagues from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the company. These "high-performance rooms" can be used by all employees of the company and naturally offer all the comforts one could wish for in a modern workplace. In addition to the company's recently created Social Room, these rooms are the perfect counterbalance to retreat and work undisturbed and in peace.
However, the most modern workplace is useless if the right people are not there to use it. Intact is expanding its workforce by a further nine employees in four different departments. The most significant increase is in Operations with three new arrivals. The Operations team is closely followed by two new employees each in Software Development and Support department and one addition to the Sales and Implementation team.
Figures at Record Level
As already described in a previous news article, Intact has truly exceptional figures for the proportion of women in its workforce. With the five new female colleagues at the Lebring site, this statistic is experiencing a renewed upswing towards 50:50. Currently, the proportion of women is at 43%, making it an absolute exception as far as other software companies go. However, Intact CEO Thomas Lorber also underlines: "Intact is primarily concerned with finding the right people for the right positions. For us, it doesn't matter whether we hire a woman or a man for the job. We believe in equality and have been living up to this since the company was founded. Of course, the high proportion of women speaks for us as a company, because the word has got around how positive our corporate culture is."
The first day of work marks the beginning of an intensive training program for Intact's new employees, which trains them in all the nuances of the company's software solutions. Partly together, partly in the respective departments, they are systematically prepared for their new tasks so that there are as few surprises as possible right from the start.
What Also Happens
As every year, Intact has trainees at its headquarters in Lebring to prepare them for the time after school and to let them gain first experiences in the working world. Once again, students of the HTL Kaindorf will spend their summer at the Lebringer Software Company to dedicate themselves to an exciting project.
Also, no less than four students are currently supported in completing their diploma theses. With the help of our software architect, Mathias Schober, various projects in the area of our software solutions were worked on, and in the course of the year, enormous progress was achieved. Intact will also continue to be active in this area in the future and encourages students to make suggestions to the company when they are looking for support for their theses.
The continuing education of Intact's employees is a significant concern, so not only are continuing education courses continually being promoted, but also attempts are made to harmonize work and study with each other. This effort works more than well and currently Intact supervises the master thesis of one employee and two other project works at FH Joanneum. In further consequence, it is planned to care for four more master theses and to support the colleagues with their graduation.
The next growth steps are already planned, and Intact is still looking for new employees in various areas. For a detailed overview of the current vacancies, it is always worth taking a look at the Careers page.
